چکیده

Mixed metal oxide composites have been widely used as adsorbents for the removal of heavy ions from wastewater. In this work, Fe2O3/TiO2 composite was sustainably prepared via treatment titanium slag with a low-concentration sulfuric acid solution (20%) and As(V) aqueous solutions. The resulting products were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption−desorption, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive (EDX). batch adsorption employed to investigate efficiency adsorbent toward As(V). Langmuir Freundlich isotherms plotted in order study process. on FeO3/TiO2 fitted well isotherm model, suggesting multilayer process an capacity 68.26 mg·g−1. kinetics demonstrated that behavior pseudo-second-order. With low-cost preparation high capacity, could be effective contaminated water sources. approach utilized research is viewed sustainable route creating proficient purification water.

LaCo0.5Fe0.5O3 Nanoparticles as a Highly Efficient Adsorbent for Rapid Removal of Trypan Blue Dye From Aqueous Media

Nanoparticles of perovskite-type LaCo0.5Fe0.5O3 (LCFO) were fabricated by sol–gel method.Thermal decomposition process of the complex precursor was examined by means of differentialthermal analysis–thermal gravimetric analysis (DTA/TGA). X-ray diffraction (XRD) resultsshowed that single perovskite phase has been completely formed after calcination at 750 °C. Inaddition, the surface morphology a...

The Perlite-calcium Alginate-activated Carbon Composite as an Efficient Adsorbent for the Removal of Dyes from Aqueous Solutions

To remove dyes from wastewater, the perlite-calcium alginate–activated carbon (PCA) composite was prepared by a simple method. This composite was characterized by FTIR, XRD, SEM, and BET techniques. A high capacity of PCA was observed for the adsorption of some dyes such as methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) from aqueous solutions (1111 and 909 mg g-1). The best results were achieved at...

Nanocrystalline Akaganeite as Adsorbent for Surfactant Removal from Aqueous Solutions

The present study presents the effective use of nanocrystalline akaganeite for the adsorption of an anionic (SDS), a cationic (CTAB), and a nonionic (tween80) surfactant from wastewater. Equilibrium experiments, as well as thermodynamic analysis, were performed. The maximum SDS adsorption occurs at the lowest pH value (5), the opposite is observed for CTAB (pH = 11), while for tween80, the chan...

Coal Ash as a Low Cost Adsorbent for the Removal of Xylenol Orange from Aqueous Solution

The removal ofxylenol orange from aqueous solution onto the coal ash was investigated at room temperature. The results show that the adsorption capacity of xylenol orange increased as the adsorption time increased and then equilibrium established after 30 min adsorption time. The results obtained revealed that the coal ash removed about 80 % of xylenol orange from the aqueous solution withi...
